About Hum

‚ÄčThe Hum story is one of inspiration, perspiration and collaboration. The company, Hum Partnership, was established in 2014 by a British couple, Tim and Lara Kelly, who decided to launch a new venture, creating colourful patterned products. Spotting a gap in the market, they began designing and producing plastic outdoor plant pots, working with British designers and manufacturers, from their Warwickshire base.

With their vibrant colours and beautiful designs, Hum pots are unlike anything else on the market. Customers love the way they add a dash of extra colour and style to a dark corner, a patio or a balcony. They often put a collection of colourful pots together to make an eye-catching display. Made in Britain, and guaranteed for 3 years, the pots come in a range of designs, and new ones are added on a regular basis.

The size is 22cm tall (8 1/2 inches) with a 5 litre volume, and they can be used in a range of different ways, as planters or as storage containers for anything from kitchen utensils to bathroom products. Designed for outdoor or indoor use, they are made from frost-resistant and fade-resistant plastic and the artwork is applied during manufacture, so it is part of the pot, not just stuck on afterwards.

In December 2015 the production line was upgraded to become fully automated, to meet the growing demand from trade buyers. The support of Warwickshire County Council through their Growth Fund has been key to the scaling up of production. The company is growing fast, and the pots are now being exported to the USA and Europe, as well as being stocked in many British garden centres and gift shops.
